SLX Timing is involved in the development and manufacturing of low power precision oscillators and timing components.

Indeed, SLX’ portfolio includes low power ovenized crystal oscillators (OCXO) and also GPS/GNSS disciplined oscillators (GPSDO).

All of our products are using SLX’ own EWOS family oscillators. The company is also currently developping a Cesium MEMS Miniature Atomic Clocks (MMAC). The MMAC-10 will serve applications needing a ultra-stable long term stability. Our time-frequency products will be ideal for demanding engineers and designers looking for precision clocks or oscillators. They won’t need to compromise between highest precision and ultra-low power for their embedded systems.

EWOS and SGTM products are designed-in and used worldwide in many applications such as: Spacecrafts (RF communication modules, GNSS, Ranging, Telemetry, RF antennas), All kind of Underwater systems where GPS time is not available Defense (robust radiocommunications, GNSS PNT), General industry (Time and synchronization equipments and telecom time servers) To sum up, our products are very compact, high reliability and ultra-low power. It provide a unique performances trade-off between precision/stability and power consumption.

SLX TIMING BY SYRLINKS: CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGIES & RECOGNIZED EXPERTISE

In its first years, Syrlinks started its activity in time-frequency and OCXOs manufacturing by serving the military Search and Rescue by Satellite (SAR) market.

That was in the late 80’s and indeed, at that time, the precise localization by satellite of a beacon was directly linked to the intrinsic frequency stability of the beacon’s local oscillator (measurement of doppler effect). It is important to know that the total power budget of an OCXO is 90% originated from the quartz heating system. The Syrlinks EWOS™ OCXO technology was developed aimed at providing simultaneously a very high frequency stability and an ultra-low power consumption. This technology was developed with the renowned time-frequency research laboratory Femto-ST in France. Since then, more than 300.000 OCXOs have been delivered worldwide.

In addition, Syrlinks also participated to the renowned ESA deep-space mission Rosetta-Philae (Tchoury comet exploration – landed in 2015). Therefore, high reliability in orbit have been demonstrated with more than 500 cumulated years without any failure.
Today, Syrlinks, under SLX timing mark, is a major manufacturer of OCXOs for NewSpace and mega constellations. Syrlinks is a key supplier of OneWeb program with 4 OCXOs per spacecrafts. Indeed, Syrlinks’ OCXOs are fitted for different types of space applications. There are earth observation, IoT/telecom constellations, or other civilian and defense space programs in LEO (Low Earth Orbit).
